Basildon and Thurrock Friend is an Internet and telephone call-back helpline for the Lesbian, Gay and Bisexual communities of Basildon and Thurrock. 

Formed on 1st January 2002 by volunteers who are themselves Lesbian, Gay or Bisexual, and some of whom are trained counsellors.                  

We accept calls from the local area, although calls are welcomed from across the UK. Confidentiality is always paramount and caller anonymity is fully assured. We will not ask for the identity of the caller and our telephone line is disabled from the caller identification service.
